Manhattan Armor was founded by Jeffrey Jankelovits who is a passionate car enthusiast that has been servicing New York City’s motoring elite since 1979.

Unlike shops in other companies, all our services stem from both the mindset of the car’s manufacturer and the needs of our New York clientele.  We strive to maintain your vehicle’s original characteristics in every capacity from performance, functionality and most importantly in aesthetics.  Our wealth of knowledge from over 40 years of experience servicing mostly factory owned dealerships here in Manhattan as well as the United Nations provides us access and insights to best accomplish this. As a result we have become their go to resource.

 Armor protection for your car is best accomplished by our hand crafted vehicle specific ultra light weight protective systems utilizing the latest technology in ballistic materials.  

Traditional armoring systems involve adding heavy steel which involves severe modifications, welding and switching out the glass with very thick, heavy bullet resistant windows.  This added weight severely compromises the vehicles handling, braking and acceleration as well as the functionality and aesthetics.  Usually windows do not function and if they do it’s at a bare minimum. Serviceability and warrantees are often very problematic and the stress of added weight decreases the vehicles effective lifespan.  Special training on how to drive is strongly suggested as the characteristics will have changed dramatically.   

At Manhattan Armor we offer multiple ultra light weight solutions to mitigate the different threat levels from a variety of hand guns and rifles.   

All our cars retain functional windows, sunroofs, transparent panoramic roofs and tailgates while providing the most discrete ballistic protection.

Acceleration, braking and handling stay true as the added weight is nominal on a pound per square foot basis.  Threat assessment is provided in order to best design the appropriate system for you and your vehicle.
